- Get rid of the frumpy housewife that has been living here since Daniel was born, which will require weight loss, and get dressed every day as if I'm going out. This includes spending time on my hair instead of just pulling it into a ponytail and putting some make-up on.
- Have a clean, organized house!! Now I don't want to be one of those people who is obsessive-compulsive about having anything out of place but I don't want my house constantly looking like a hurricane went through it. Having counter space in my kitchen would be extra nice too since there's not much of it.
- Actually make dinners that require cooking, not microwaving, and have more than one thing (such as pizza) and that means some sort of fruit or vegetable.
- Something that really depends on Emily, but I would really, REALLY like to get her sleeping through the night in her own bed!!! She did pretty good last night and only got up twice.
So far I'm doing better with the dinner than anything else, but then I still haven't finished unpacking and sleep is very important. Mommy doesn't do so well with lack of sleep.
Emily is learning to scoot around on the floor. She can turn herself in circles and move backwards. I'm kind of looking forward to her crawling because then she'd be more willing to spend more time on the floor but it would also mean that my baby is growing up and then I'm all done with baby stuff. Okay, time to exercise. Sore muscles, here I come!

Good for you!! It's so hard to make all of those changes at once. And, when I had a baby who was up even just once a night, I was always so tired that I got nothing accomplished other than the bare minimum to survive in a day.
I wanted to make a suggestion for you...here in Wymount we have literally about 2 sguare feet of counter space. It has really been a challenge to figure out where to put things! So, I ended up putting my canisters and toaster over up on some of those coated wire racks. (They're about 6 inches or so high.) They do look a little funny floating above the counters, but I can stash things under them as needed. It's really helped me in keeping my kitchen organized!
Oh--and one more suggestion for you--I've recently started losing the baby weight I've gained since I got pregnant with Kallie. One of my friends told me that she used sparkpeople.com, (which is completely free), and lost her baby weight. So, I gave it a try. I'm happy to say that I've lost about 10 lbs. in the past 5 weeks. It has a calorie counting page and an exercise tracking page--plus lots of articles and suggestions for whole person health. I've really enjoyed it. Anyway...keep us posted on your progress!
I think that I'm glamorizing myself when I actually brush through my hair before throwing it into a ponytail--so the fact that you are actually going to spend time on your hair both amazes and impresses me!
Good luck with your goals!
